Alachua County Fire Rescue Visit - 2011 (8)
Special thanks to Scott, Brad, and Brandon from Alachua County Fire Rescue station 21 for visiting Bhaktivedanta Academy. They spoke about fire safety, gave a tour of the fire truck, and answered many questions from their eager audience. -
Sacinandana Swami's Visit (6)
We had the pleasure of welcoming His Holiness Sacinandana Swami as an esteemed guest at Bhaktivedanta Academy. -
Mother Indrani's Visit (2)
As part of our focus on the quality of respect for the month of September, we had the pleasure of hosting Mother Indrani, an admired and senior member of our community, to Bhaktivedanta Academy. -
Parent Work Day 2011 (6)
WIth the help of our enthusiastic volunteers we were able to spread fresh mulch in all the play areas; demolish the old swing set and benches; pressure wash the decks, eating benches, and buildings; weed and prune the landscape areas; and mostly complete our new fence. Best of all we got a chance to spend time together in a spirit of community. Thank you to all the volunteers who labored for many hours in the hot sun. -
Father's Day (71)
We celebrated our annual Father's Day event at Bhaktivedanta Academy on Friday, April 15th. Students had an opportunity to welcome their dads into their classrooms and sing songs, eat treats, and share the work they are doing. -
Grandparents' Day (32)
The students and teachers of Bhaktivedanta Academy hosted a special open house event for grandparents. Students had an opportunity to sing songs, recite verses, share their work, and serve our special guests. -
Presentations on Srila Prabhupada's Life and Achievements (11)
Over a two month period the students of the Madhurya Bhavan class (4th - 6th grade) studied about our Founder Acharya, His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Prabhupada. As a final part of their study, they put together multi-media presentations about Srila Prabhupada's life and achievements. -
100th Day of School Celebration (16)
As the 100th day of school approached, students set a school-wide goal of reading 100 books in 14 days. They far exceeded that goal by reading over 250 books! We held a party to celebrate. -
Outreach Week (17)
Thank you to everyone who inspired and supported our students during this year's Outreach Week. -
Baking Party (14)
Thank you to everyone that came out to help bake and pack cookies and fudge for our 2010 holiday fundraiser. -
Cow Seva (9)
Students welcome Krishna Kripa, one of the Alachua temple cows, to feed and present the $112 they collected for a new water trough and other items. -
